Reduce your goals into smaller, more readily achievable targets. When you have completed your goal statement, you must turn it into a plan of action. List the steps in their proper and sequential order to make them more easily achievable. Each small goal accomplished will serve as a reward and the resultant satisfaction bolsters determination for the attainment of future goals.
Motivation and commitment are the forces that will maintain our desire to bring to completion each and every step of the action plan. Motivation pushes us to action while commitment keeps us striving despite any setbacks we may encounter.
The steps should be recordable and literally recorded in a format which is easy to revisit. A regular review system of your action plan is necessary so that you do not lose track of that which you set out to achieve and, also, that which you have already accomplished. Keeping yourself organised and focused is of vital concern. A lack of focus can easily lead to disillusionment and inevitable failure. A quick million will not happen without planning and determination.
Achievable goal setting is an active process. It is accomplished over a given time frame, not instantaneously. As we begin to accomplish the mini-goals, we may discover that there are steps we have included which are not necessary and steps we have neglected. A regular review and assessment of our action plan is therefore imperative so that we can make any appropriate modifications to the plan. Adjustments, both in time frame and method are fine, but ensure any such amendments are done for the right reasons.
Once again, retain your focus and regain it as quickly as possible should your determination falter.
